Meet Our Staff

The Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County has a dedicated team of staff and volunteers that bring engaging and enriching programs to our Red Lodge and Roberts Clubhouses. 
Dana Castellani
Chief Professional Officer

Dana grew up in Bearcreek, MT & graduated from RLHS. She holds a degree in English & Spanish from Vanderbilt University & is a certified teacher. After college, she returned to Red Lodge with her husband to raise their children. An experienced teacher & youth development specialist who has worked with youth K-12, Dana has been with the Club for two & half years & has been its Director since the end of last year.

Misty Pitts
Roberts Club Facilitator
Misty is a certified K-8 teacher who has an extensive youth development background. She taught in North Dakota before returning to Roberts with her husband and two children. She has worked as a paraprofessional in both the Roberts and Red Lodge schools and is also teaching art at Roberts School. During the summer, the Red Lodge and Roberts clubs join and Misty takes on a leadership role with programs during this time.

Delaney Stewart

Delaney grew up in Red Lodge and has a wonderful sense of what our unique area offers to these amazing kids. As a Program Aide, Delaney works with all Club Kids but will be leading our daily Arts & Crafts programming and our bi-weekly Cheerleading program. She will also be working more directly with the Club’s 6th through 8th grade members in our Teen Center and for Teen Nights this school year.

Jenel Bloom

Jenel came to Red Lodge as an AmeriCorps Vista in Early Childhood Education with the RLACF. She holds a degree in Kinesiology & Exercise Science from California State University of Northridge where she was a Resident Advisor.  Jenel works with youth of all ages and loves to lead the Fun with Photography program.

Marni Waters Forward

Marni grew up in northern Illinois. She moved to Bozeman, MT in 2006 to study art at Montana State University and received her BFA in 2010. In 2012 she moved to Oxford, MS where she lived for three years until moving back to Montana. Marni joined the club in the fall of 2016 as a Program Aide where she will concentrate on art with all ages.

Ross McCurdy

Ross grew up in Wisconsin and came to Montana in 2010. In 2014 he moved to Columbus, MT where he was the Youth Director at the Stillwater Youth Center. In addition to working part-time at Club as a program aide, Ross is the Director of Next Gen Ministries for the Church of the Rockies in Red Lodge.

Maddy Tyler

Maddy grew up outside of Big Timber, MT. She obtained a Bachelor's in Music from the University of Montana in Missoula. Maddy enjoys the outdoors, reading, and traveling when possible. As a Program Aide, she looks forward to sharing and exploring these interests with the kids.

Penny Prophet 

Tom Smith

Tom holds a BA in Political Science from University of California Davis, an MA from Cal State Sacramento & a MFA from the University of Idaho. He has worked as a licensed social worker, librarian, school bus driver & professional artist. A man of many talents, Tom currently serves multiple roles for the Club from janitor to Club van driver to occasional program aide.
